TANDEM magazine was conceived as a means of publishing new writers alongside well-known figures. The generous support of many highly respected poets has helped us to attract hundreds of submissions from serious writers of all ages and backgrounds. TANDEM was launched in 1993 with the help of Carol Ann Duffy and Jackie Kay.

TANDEM welcomes contributions of poetry and prose. Work is selected purely on merit. Published work will appear in the paperback version and on-line when space permits.

On average, seventy writers appear in each paperback issue. There is an international subscriptions list. A free copy of the magazine is sent to all published contributors. TANDEM also runs an annual poetry competition with cash prizes.
